The "Galley Chef 5” is the perfect knife for preparing food while underway. The 5” blade is little thicker than a standard chefs knife, but still perfect for precision slicing. A combination of a traditional boat knife and a Santoku styled chef knife, the Galley Chef is large enough for all onboard cooking needs, small enough to comfortably stow, and sturdy enough to do double duty as a rigging knife.
Made in the US, the Galley Chef is hand ground from LC200N, a Nitrogen infused steel developed to resist corrosion and rust, even in salt water.
Designed for serious use and abuse, this is the perfect knife onboard ship or on land. Featuring a full flat grind, this knife is durable and maintains a great edge.
Handles are made from select pieces of Cocobolo or Teak, both are beautiful hardwoods that are extremely durable and water resistant. Each handle is unique and will have its own character.
